Hi! This is my second post and I'm talking about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette. I brought this recently from the original Anastasia website which I would advise ANYONE not to order from these unless you want to pay more than double for a product! This product was $30/£19 then for delivery on around £11. Then I had to pay to get it through my door which was over £20 so I paid more for getting it here! BUT I am glad I did I love it, I would probably say this is my favourite palette at the moment.
I love that all the colours blend together and compliment each other, either on the lid or around the crease area. I love the colour 'BUTTERY', to go under the brow or in the middle of the lid to enhance brow and the colour contrasting.
I heard about this eye shadow palette on 'Nicole Guerriero' YouTube video called 'Summery Shadows + Nude Lips. I tried to recreate this look but I needed a more firm fibre brush to be able to pack the product on more, the one she uses was the MAC 242 Shader Brush, which I am definitely going to purchase very soon, in order to get the more high pigmented look these shadows can create! I adore the 'PHRESH' and 'ORANGE YOU FANCY'. (These video pictures aren't mine, just a screenshot I took).
A look I created using three shadows was the 'DUSTY ROSE', 'AUBERGINE' and 'BUTTERY' these colours go very well together as simple ombre Mauve look when blended. I first seen these similar kind of colours in 'Carli Bybel' YouTube video using her own palette she has brought out and I was like whaaa! gurl I really need these kinda colours for shadows in my life but when I came around using the Artist Palette I had some the same!! EEK. (OBVIOUSLY I am not as good as these make up artists but at least I try right?? lol gotta start some where. PLUS I have super curly eyebrow ends some times and its so annoying).
As well as 12 shadows you get a Anastasia Beverly Hills eye shadow brush, one end is fluffy and on the other a round shadow brush. I think this brush is just as good as other ones apart from when you want to pack on a very bright colour it doesn't show well, like I was saying earlier with the MAC 242. (Brush still dirty oops).
Finally some swatches of the colours, overall I really love this product as you have the choice to create a bold & bright or simple every day look. Thank you again for reading! Please still leave me any comments, or message me about how I could improve anything, or any ideas you may have.. Like I said last time maybe about writing or less images but personally I don't like reading peoples blogs when they have very little information but that is just |
my opinion, I'll end up doing that next time or something ha-ha, thank you!
