Hi guys! I am back with a new blog post about the amazing Makeup Geek eye shadows and Z palette. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and has a happy New Year! I bought these eye shadows quite a while ago on Black Friday and I got 3 new pans for Christmas, they are so good, I cant even explain, I love them! I just cant wait to fill all my palette up, I wanna get another one for matte shadows and a separate one for the glitter/foil, just because I think it will be super pretty and work better, for when I know what type of look I want to go for.
I got mine from Beauty Bay as you get free shipping if you spend over £15, and overall its just a really good website, you can get them from the original Makeup Geek website but I haven't tried that yet.

This is how my Z palette came, I had to get the extra large as the other sizes had sold out, but now I am glad I did just because it holds more and it is all symmetrical as the small ones you cant have a straight line of shadows, you have to have one missing just because it cant fit in the actual palette. I got black just because its simple and will go with all the different shades, I love the rose gold limited edition and the hologram one I will be getting that for the glitter palette I am going to make, its so annoying because I cant find the rose gold one anywhere as its all sold out! The palette comes with extra magnetic stickers if you want to add any of your makeup to it. That is what these Z palettes are for as well, adding your makeup to use less packaging when organising your stuff, which I think is so smart!
These are the first eyeshadows I got, they are just normal pressed eyeshadow pans and I also have one foiled eyeshadow. There wasn't much choice at the time, so I picked theses shades, (Baby Face, Confection, Bedrock, Beaches & cream, Lemon Drop, Chickadee) for the foiled shade I got 'In The Spotlight'.
I love all the colours I got, they are all different but can pair together nicely. I have always wanted a bright yellow and this one is gorgeous!
You can fit 5 shadows in a row in the palette, and altogether have 35 shadows in this extra large palette, you'd be spoilt with choice if you was to fill it!

Here are my swatches of the first 7 eyeshadows I purchased, I am in love with the matte shades, all of these shadows are super pigmented and creamy. The colour 'Bedrock' reminds me of a medium stone colour, I think it would go well with a lot of eye looks. I love my choice of bright yellow and orange, they are super cute, and I think its just good to have because you don't know when you're gonna need them, or what they would go good with, its always nice to experiment. I have no idea why I love the name of the orange one its called 'Chickadee' just love it!
I didn't think much of the foiled shadow when it came but once you swatch or wear them I was like, "what", "girl they fab"! I had to swatch it twice in both pictures because it looked so amazing, like a shiny peach. When I applied using MAC Fix+ it came out more of a golden, and because it mixed in with the black eyeshadow it gave off more of an ombre look going from silver to gold.

As you all know that Christmas has just been, I got 3 eyeshadow pans from my boyfriend because he wanted me to finish off my second row, how cute!
He ordered them to be gift wrapped so they sent them in this Beauty Bay box and its pretty cool, I think I am going to put all my empty shadow packets in this, just because I am a packaging freak and like to keep them, but why not they are really nice! He said he didn't know what colours to get me but he honestly, he made a better choice than I ever would!

My boyfriend got me one of each of three different effects they do, normal pressed eyeshadow pan, duochrome and foiled. He got the shades Charmed, Bleached Blonde and Karma. None of them are matte shades they are all shiny and glitter based. I didn't have any colours like it so I was super happy as they are all amazing!
Here are the last 3 swatches from my palette, I had to swatch 'Karma' twice, to try and show the dimensional shimmering effect it give off, it also gave a rainbow effect with other shades in it, as you can tell a bit in the first picture, you can see some of the green coming through on the sides. I think its absolutely beautiful and I cant wait to use this one! I have never been into wearing silver but when I used this one on two looks, I thought it was amazing, so shimmering on the eyes and it also gives off a beautiful glow. As you can see more in this picture I dinted my silver foil pan to take a picture, I hope you appreciate it, 'cries' :(.
My two completed rows, overall I absolutely love them and cant wait to buy more shades and hopefully start on my second palette to separate the different textures. They are so creamy and outstanding, a little goes a long way! I never realised how big they actually were, as when every one else uploads picture of their palette the shadow pans looked super small, but you get a lot for what you pay! They will definitely last a long time. Finally, the prices for the normal pressed pan and duochrome are £4.95 and for the foiled pan £7.95 from Beauty Bay.
Above are some photos of a few of the shadows I have used, the first picture is when I used the, 'In The Spotlight', on the bottom in the middle of my eye, you can see the gold coming upwards and then it blends out to silver. I loved this look I created with them. My other images with red lipstick below, is my first YouTube video I did, have you watched it? if not go to my YouTube at - Josieebee or watch below. I would really appreciate it if you could go like, subscribe, and share with others, that would be amazing! Thank you :).
